Champs Pimont sits on the southern hill of Beaune, a 2-hectare parcel on the mid-slope with a south-east exposure on silt, marl, and limestone soils. This combination of position and soil gives the wine a distinctive elegance and purity, with the silt and marl contributing fine-grained tannins and a freshness that lifts the fruit. Pinot Noir from this parcel opens with delicate fragrances of violet and intense aromas of ripe black cherry, with a subtle vanilla note, a well-balanced and complex palate of tight texture, finely grained tannins, and a long, fruity finish.
VINEYARD
Champs Pimont is a 2-hectare Premier Cru parcel on the southern hill of Beaune, sitting mid-slope with a south-east exposure on silt, marl, and limestone soils. The silt and marl content gives the wine its characteristic finesse and fine-grained tannin structure, while the limestone provides the freshness and mineral precision that define this parcel's character within the Beaune Premier Cru landscape.
WINEMAKING
Hand-picked in small crates, followed by meticulous sorting. Partial destemming at 50%, followed by cooling of the bunches to 8 to 10°C for a 10-day prefermentation cold maceration. Fermentation in small-volume stainless steel tanks, with punch-downs and pump-overs adapted to each appellation to extract color and aroma. Gentle gravity pressing ensures delicate extraction. Aged 20 months on fine lees in French oak barrels, 25% new, ranging from one to six years old. Bottled according to the lunar calendar.
VINTAGE
2024 began with a mild winter and an early bud break, tempered by scattered frost episodes in spring. Heavy rains, thunderstorms, and reduced sunshine through spring and summer created sustained disease pressure and uneven ripening across the region. It was a demanding vintage that required exceptional care and skill in both the vineyard and the cellar. The wines that emerged reflect that effort: balanced and characterful, shaped as much by the hands that tended them as by the season itself.
TASTING NOTE
Bright ruby. Delicate fragrances of violet with intense aromas of ripe black cherry and a subtle vanilla note. Well-balanced and complex, with tight texture, finely grained tannins, and a long, fruity finish.

Chanson is one of the major owners of Clos des Mouches with a vineyard of 4.5 hectares. Ideal location on the hill at the southern end of the vineyards of Beaune on a spur pointing toward Pommard. A plot of 2.5 hectares is planted with Pinot Noir on a limestone subsoil covered with clay.
