Lucien Le Moine Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru “Les Terres Blanches” 2016

Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru “Les Terres Blanches”

Les Terres Blanches is a 2.4 acre vineyard in the steepest area of Nuits-St.-Georges, and not far from the top Nuits-St.-Georges vineyards of Les Vaucrains and Les Saint-Georges. There are few producers in this small vineyard, and this very rare Nuits-St.-George white proves intriguing for its Nuits-St.-Georges character in spite of its variety and color.

Vinous “Bright, light yellow. Pungent aromas of lemon drop, crushed rock and Chartreuse herbs. Moderately dense but quite energetic, conveying an impression of firm acidity and pronounced minerality (“this very cool,…

Ermitage Ex Voto Blanc

Hermitage

Ermitage Ex-Voto represents the fulfillment of a longtime dream of Marcel Guigal’s to own vineyard land on the hill of Hermitage. Through the purchase of the de Vallouit and J. L. Grippat domaines in
2000, Guigal acquired four exceptional vineyard parcels on this legendary site. The 2001 vintage was the first release of this estate-bottled Hermitage red and white. The quality of the intense old-vine fruit is quite special, but given the Guigal’s already strong work in Hermitage, they decided to only release an Ex-Voto red or white when the wine is utterly exceptional and clearly superior to their appellation bottlings.

Vinous "Limpid yellow-gold. Smoke- and mineral-tinged orchard and pit fruit and honey aromas show outstanding clarity, and a sexy floral element emerges slowly. Intense, palate-staining pear, peach nectar and tangerine flavors…

James Suckling "Very intense with excellent poise and aromas of spiced pear custard, as well as a gently chalky edge. The palate has a very smooth and leisurely, fleshy feel with a…

Meursault 1er Cru “Porusot”

Meursault 1er Cru “Porusot”

Mounir likes to call Meursault Porusot the ambassador of Meursault – it takes from everything around it, Gouttes d’Or, Genevrieres, Charmes, and other vineyards, and shows a little bit of all their characters. It is a wine that doesn’t rest, it keeps changing all the time. Sweet yet flinty, as well as phenolic, it is an intellectual’s wine. Mounir was delighted to bottle Porusot for the first time in 2009.

Meursault 1er Cru “Genevrières”

Meursault 1er Cru “Genevrières”

Genevrières is defined by viscosity. The vineyard is mid-slope, and in the Lucien Le Moine Genevrières there is always notable acidity (even in low-acid years) and alcohol. “Mr Too Much of Everything” is how Mounir likes to describe this wine. It ferments slowly, and for some reason it always has a touch of cloudiness – something never precipitates out. It’s a wild child.

Classic Vintage Brut 2018

Green Valley, Russian River Valley, California

The flagship of the estate, this wine shows everything the family strives to accomplish. The quality and finesse strike memory bells that say “Champagne,” while the flavors are unmistakably Sonoma County, Russian River, Green Valley and most distinctly Iron Horse. Delightful and complex rising dough, orange marmalade and baked apple aromas lead to an exquisitely balanced palate with flavors of ripe red apple, mandarin orange and hazelnut.  The complexity of flavors and textures are perhaps only overshadowed by the sheer pleasure of enjoyment.

Wine Spectator "Delightfully expressive and detailed in structure, this bubbly bursts with aromas of Asian pear, yeast roll and spice and slowly unfurls with notes of fresh ginger and green apple. Pinot…

Reserva de la Familia Gran Reserva 2016

Cava

“Reserva de la Familia” (translating to ‘Reserve of the Family’) is the leading Gran Reserva in the world, always vintage-dated, and all the more notable because of the quality needed to produce it without dosage (‘Brut Nature’ designation).

Ponzi Vineyards

Laurelwood Pinot Noir 2017

Laurelwood District, Chehalem Mountains, Willamette Valley

For over 50 years, the Ponzi family has farmed 140 acres of certified sustainable vineyards all planted on Laurelwood soil. Situated along the Northern ridge of the Willamette Valley, these ancient soils are comprised of fractured basalt layered over with a fine, windblown sediment called loess. A decade-long effort by sisters Maria and Luisa, alongside their neighbors has resulted in the recognition of Oregon’s first soil-based AVA, the Laurelwood District. The inaugural 2017 vintage boasts the new label design, with a textured effect that resembles the layers of the Laurelwood soils.

James Suckling "A perfumed nose of raspberry, crushed strawberry, vanilla and dried herb. It’s medium-bodied with fine tannins and bright acidity. Round and creamy with a silky texture. Sweet ripe fruit and…

Pinot Blanc 2018

Willamette Valley, Oregon

Pinot blanc was planted at Aurora Vineyard in the early 1990s, taking advantage of an ideal portion of the 80-acre site. This versatile white wine is a wonderful alternative to Pinot gris. Beautiful floral aromas of jasmine and magnolia mingle with notes of lychee, lemongrass, beeswax and green tea mochi with a touch of cardamom. The textured mouth is reminiscent of shortbread and the freshness of rainwater and wet slate with bright, juicy acidity that encourages another sip.

Ponzi Vineyards

Laurelwood Pinot Noir 2018

Laurelwood District, Chehalem Mountains, Willamette Valley

Dick and Nancy Ponzi helped put Oregon on the map in the United States and the world, and the Ponzi family has worked continuously for over 50 years leading and innovating in the region and, in the case of Pinot Noir, across the country and indeed the world. Today winemaker Luisa Ponzi continues her work of the last 30 years with the family of Champagne Bollinger, which acquired Ponzi Vineyards in 2021. The estate’s drive to create distinctly pure Pinot Noir, in a distinctly Oregon manner, has never been stronger.

Wine Enthusiast “The aromas are reserved, with notes of baking spice, cherry, dark raspberry and plum. Full-bodied, well-balanced peppermint and raspberry flavors follow. It's direct enjoyment.”-  S.S 11/22

Wine Spectator "Fragrant and elegantly structured, this red has expressive raspberry, fresh violet and spice flavors that build richness toward refined tannins."-  T.F 10/22

James Suckling "Luscious aromas and flavors of blackberries, raspberries and strawberries. Medium to full body with round tannins and a savory finish. Spicy, with cardamon and clove, black licorice and sage. Sustainable.…
