Ponzi Vineyards Laurelwood Pinot Noir 2019

Laurelwood District

July 15, 2026 - As Wine Spectator once wrote, “All Oregon Pinot Noirs are measured against the Ponzi yardstick.” For over 50 years, the Ponzi family has farmed 140 acres of certified sustainable vineyards on Laurelwood soils. This wine is the result of a decade's long effort by sisters Maria and Luisa and neighboring growers to establish the Laurelwood District, Oregon’s first soil-based AVA. The area’s volcanic basalts, layered with windblown loess, shape the vines' evolution. Bright red fruit gives way to dark berry and brambly spice as the vines mature.

Champagne Ayala Brut Majeur

Champagne

July 15, 2026 - Ayala Brut Majeur perfectly embodies the Chardonnay-focused style of Ayala. This cuvée achieves balance and finesse through low dosage, stainless-steel vinification, and three years of aging on lees. Made from over 70 crus across Champagne’s key regions, including the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne, each cru is fermented separately in 120 stainless-steel vats, preserving its unique characteristics. The result is a Champagne of exceptional complexity, capturing the richness and diversity of the region’s terroirs.

Domaine Chanson Corton Vergennes Grand Cru 2022

Corton Vergennes Grand Cru

July 15, 2026 - Corton-Vergennes is one of Burgundy's most storied Grand Cru parcels: a tiny 0.6-hectare plot on the Corton hill, once owned by Charles Gravier, Count of Vergennes, the French statesman who signed the Treaty of Alliance with Benjamin Franklin. Planted to Chardonnay on southeast-facing clay and limestone soils and aged up to 18 months in French oak, the wine is broad-shouldered and precise, with exotic fruit, mineral depth, and a freshness that carries the wine to an elegant finish.

Beaune 1er Cru

July 14, 2026 - Domaine Chanson Beaune Premier Cru Bressandes is sourced from a 1.1-acre vineyard located on the upper slopes of Beaune, facing east at the mouth of a cool, north-facing valley. Named after Jean Bressand, a 13th-century Canon of Beaune, this vineyard produces some of the village’s most respected wines. The wine presents a brilliant ruby color with intense aromas of raspberry and cherry, complemented by subtle hints of spice and vanilla. On the palate, it offers a dense, deep texture with beautiful tension, elegant tannins, and a long, fruit-driven finish.

Domaine Chanson Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Fèves 2023

Beaune 1er Cru

July 14, 2026 - Domaine Chanson Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Fèves is a “monopole” vineyard, meaning Chanson is the sole owner of the vines there. Located mid-slope in the heart of Beaune's Premier Crus, this 10-acre plot has been known since 1307 under the name “Fae” (Latin for beech). The wine showcases a deep black color with a fresh, intense, and spicy nose, highlighted by ripe Burlat cherry. On the palate, it’s well-structured, ample, and complex with powerful tannins and a dense texture. The finish is long, powerful, and elegant, reflecting both strength and finesse.
