Quinta do Noval Vintage Port 2022

Wine Spectator - December 31, 2024 "A distinctive version, with menthol, pine and bay leaf hints peeking out from a zesty core of blackberry, boysenberry and mulberry paste flavors. Lots of bramble underscores the fruit through…

Vinous - June 24, 2024 "The 2022 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port was trodden by foot in concrete lagares and spent 18 months in wooden casks. This bursts forth on the nose: black cherries, raspberry…

Wine Enthusiast - December 31, 2024 "The Vintage Port from Noval is a classic. Its big structure, game aroma and dried fruit flavors measure up against layers of tannins and rich black fruits."

James Suckling - October 24, 2024 "A huge, monumental wine that will need decades to reach its prime. Heady, bold aromas of crushed blackberries, wood char and grilled plums lead to blackberry jam, road tar, dark…

Quinta do Noval Vintage Port 2023

Porto

January 15, 2026 - Quinta do Noval's Ports are known for their purity, elegance, and finesse, with the most striking expression in the Vintage Ports. Produced almost every year, they are made from the finest lots, with volumes never exceeding 15% of the year's production. The 2023 Vintage Port is elegant, balanced, and aromatic, with firm tannins that highlight its purity and harmony.

Quinta do Noval Nacional Vintage Port 2022

Porto

January 15, 2026 - The Nacional parcel at Quinta do Noval, with ungrafted vines untouched by phylloxera, produces a unique wine, often made in years when the Quinta doesn't declare a Vintage Port. In years of dual production, the Nacional remains quite distinct as the more opulent of the two. Known for its power, the Nacional offers aromas of dark fruits, spices, mint, and licorice. The palate is rich and fresh, with concentrated blackberry fruit, intense tannins, and remarkable depth.

Wine Enthusiast - December 31, 2024 "Even better than the impressive 2021 Nacional, this is a magnificent Port. It comes from a small parcel of ungrafted vines on the Noval estate. Beautifully perfumed, ripe with sweetness…

Vinous - June 20, 2024 "The 2022 Naçional Vintage Port comes from the usual field blend planted on their own roots in the 1920s. The fruit was trodden by foot in concrete lagares and aged…

Wine Advocate - December 12, 2024 "The 2022 Vintage Port Nacional was produced with grapes from ungrafted vines [...] quite similar parameters to the regular Vintage Port from the same vintage, and it's quite low in…

Wine Spectator - December 31, 2024 "Dense and dark, with a burly edge as walnut husk, singed alder and warm earth accents peek out from a core of steeped black currant and blackberry reduction flavors. The…

Quinta do Noval LBV Single Vineyard 2019

Porto

January 15, 2026 - This wine is a remarkable example of the Noval style. Treated exactly like a Vintage Port with only noble grape varieties that sourced exclusively from estate vineyards, trodden by foot and unfiltered. This expression differs in its extended aging, seeing five years in casks instead of the typical two years for Vintage Ports. Definitely an LBV with a difference, this wine has fine structured tannins, great freshness and purity of fruit. It is delicious to drink today, but will age beautifully in its bottle.
