Ferrer Bobet 609
Vinyes Velles
August 05, 2018
Ferrer Bobet's Vinyes Velles is an old vine blend of Carignane (70%) and Grenache (30%). It's produced from some of the best steep slate hillside and terraced vineyards in Priorat. Though the "second wine" of Ferrer Bobet, the initial 2005 release put Ferrer Bobet on the wine world map. Two of the most important publications in Spain named it their wine of the year, and accolades came pouring in from Russia, the UK and the US. It launched the Ferrer Bobet mission of creating wines of elegance and purity, and the message has resonated.
Ferrer-Bobet Vinyes Velles 2015 (97 DE)
Decanter -September 26, 2019 "Deep, dark though not saturated black-red. Dense, close-grained aromas of great subtlety and complexity: a sense of stone and savoury depths as well as sweet yet austere black fruits. Deep,…
Ferrer-Bobet Vinyes Velles 2015 (92 WA)
Wine Advocate -August 30, 2019 "The old-vine cuvée 2015 Vinyes Velles is a blend of 67% Cariñena and 33% Garnacha from 70+-year-old vines on the slopes of the village of Porrera, and it aged in…
Ferrer-Bobet Vinyes Velles 2016 (94 WA)
Wine Advocate -August 30, 2019 "As with other wines, the 2016 Vinyes Velles has a little less alcohol and more acidity than the 2015. There is a little more Cariñena, up to 70%, and the…

Ferrer Bobet 607
Priorat
Priorat, Spain
August 05, 2018
Ferrer Bobet Priorat is the second vintage of a Priorat produced primarily from Ferrer Bobet’s own vineyards. It fulfills the vision of elegance, freshness and detail that were the reasons for starting the estate. It is a Carignan based blend, based on low vigor and high quality rootstocks and clones, aiming for perfectly balanced vines.
Ferrer-Bobet Priorat 2016 (92+ WA)
Wine Advocate (92+) -August 30, 2019 "2016 was a fresher year than 2015, and so the 2016 Ferrer-Bobet is also fresher than the 2015, with a little less alcohol and more acidity. The blend changed a…

Petrolo 587
Galatrona
Val d'Arno di Sopra
August 05, 2018
Galatrona is a cru made entirely from Merlot grapes coming exclusively from a single vineyard planted in the early ‘90s. Year after year, it is recognized critically (the “Le Pin of Tuscany” by Wine Spectator, for example) but, more importantly, understood as being a reflection of its site far more than its grape varietal.
Petrolo Galatrona 2017 (95 WA)
Wine Advocate -August 30, 2019 "Despite the hardships of the vintage, Luca Sanjust and the team at Petrolo poured all their focus and attention into creating this wine. The 2017 Galatrona shows a hot-vintage interpretation…
Petrolo Galatrona 2018 (95-97 WA)
Wine Advocate -August 30, 2019 "Tasted from barrel, the gorgeous 2018 Galatrona promises much beauty to come. Luca Sanjust says that this is the most Pomerol of the Merlot-based Galatronas he has created, and indeed,…

Petrolo 583
Bòggina A
Val d'Arno di Sopra
August 05, 2018
Every year, Petrolo selects a small lot of Bòggina, a wine made purely from their best Sangiovese grapes, to ferment in amphorae. The choice of amphorae has a historical dimension to get closer to Tuscany's cultural roots, as Terracotta in Tuscany has a history back to the early Etruscan times. The remains of amphorae and other Etruscan relics can be found throughout the Petrolo property, an area that has been settled for thousands of years.
Petrolo Bòggina A 2017 (92 WA)
Wine Advocate -August 30, 2019 "Hitting the market now, the 2017 Val d'Arno di Sopra Bòggina A is a very spicy and sassy expression of amphorae-aged Sangiovese. There are elements of crushed white pepper and…

Petrolo 581
Torrione
Val d'Arno di Sopra
August 05, 2018
Torrione is made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, both those that come from historic vines of the 1970s and ones more recently planted with high density. The yield per plant is notably restricted, allowing a concentration of all the noble components of the grape, fundamental for the full-bodied character of this wine. The fruit intensity and its black character make it a comparison to Brunello at several times the price.
Petrolo Torrione 2017 (92+ WA)
Wine Advocate (92+ ) -August 30, 2019 "This vintage is an IGT Toscana wine instead of a Valdarno di Sopra appellation expression. The 2017 Torrione is mostly Sangiovese with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blended within. This…

Masciarelli 551
Marina Cvetic Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
August 05, 2018
Gianni Masciarelli one day suprised his wife by presenting her with this wine, from the grape he made famous from the region, named after her. Croatian in origin, her first reaction was that no one would be able to pronounce the wine. Because of the outstanding sites used to produce the wine and the serious winemaking care it undergoes, Marina Cvetic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo soon became the most widespread example of serious Montepluciano in the world.

Champagne Bollinger 531
La Grande Année
Champagne, France
August 05, 2018
La Grande Année: The Great Year. This Champagne is the embodiment of everything that makes Bollinger the producer that stands apart in Champagne. La Grande Année, or LGA, preserves the traditions of the past and symbolizes the word "hand-crafted" so strongly that an overused word suddenly becomes the only appropriate definition.

Champagne Bollinger 529
Rosé
Champagne, France
August 05, 2018
In the same way that Special Cuvée stands apart from non-vintage Champagnes, Bollinger Rosé is an exception for Rosé Champagnes. What is more, it is a relative secret, as Bollinger did not release a non-vintage Rosé until 2008 and the quantity produced is quite limited. The wine begins as Special Cuvée and then Bollinger's specialty as the Pinot Noir producer in Champagne takes center stage, as the red fruits that join the conversation dance vibrantly, the finish has just a hint of perfectly ripe tannin, and the deep complexity of the wine shines through transparently.
Champagne Bollinger Rosé NV (92 JD)
Jeb Dunnuck -November 08, 2022 "The NV Champagne Brut Rosé has a pale pink hue and lifts with a soft bouquet of red raspberry, apricot, bread dough, blood orange, and delicate smoke. The palate is…
Champagne Bollinger Rosé NV (93 JS)
James Suckling -July 25, 2022 "Deep red-berry nose, plus some nectarine, spice and candied-orange notes. Powerful and fresh, the hint of tannin from the red-wine component of the blend neatly balanced by the creaminess. Excellent…
Champagne Bollinger Rosé NV (93 WS)
Wine Spectator -August 26, 2020 "A polished rosé Champagne, effortlessly layering well-cut acidity, a finely detailed mousse and graphite-laced flavors of raspberry, Marcona almond, kumquat and toast point. Sneakily long and minerally on the finish,…

Champagne Bollinger Rosé NV (94 JS)

Special Cuvée
Champagne, France
August 05, 2018
From vineyard to bottling, Special Cuvée sees such an extraordinary level of care and attention, it is difficult to place within the non-vintage or, really, any Champagne category. It is a Champagne that stands apart. Within one bottle, all the complexity of flavor, texture and pleasure that Champagne can offer. Special Cuvée is truly a journey of devotion from Bollinger.
Champagne Bollinger Special Cuvée NV (93 JS)
James Suckling -August 13, 2018 “Impressive concentration, freshness and purity here. It’s all gently enriched with some savory, autolysis-driven characters. Truly a modern classic! Showing attractive spiced-apple, lemon and pink rose-like florals on the palate,…
