Vignerons Ardéchois
Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Ardèche
This Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from across Ardèche, representing multiple vineyards sites to express a simultaneously refreshing and fruity style of wine. Uncomplicated winemaking leads to a surprisingly complex palate, with notes of fresh pineapple and mango encapsulated by freshly cut grass.
Vineyard
Most of the Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the Southwestern part of Ardèche, between the towns of Beaulieu and Vallon Pont-d’Arc. Soils here are a blend of loose gravel and basalt. 350ha of Sauvignon Blanc are grown here, vineyards are 400-500 meters above sea level.
Winemaking
The grapes are picked and pressed early in the morning to preserve aromatic complexity. The wine then sits on its lees for 4-6 months in stainless steel before bottling. All precautions are taken to reduce oxygen interaction.
Tasting Note
Crisp and refreshing, the Sauvignon Blanc displays exuberant notes of pineapple, mango, and freshly squeezed lemon. A gentle bouquet of freshly cut grass builds on the complexity of the palate.
