Vignerons Ardéchois
Pinot Noir 2021
Ardèche
The Pinot Noir is a joyful expression of the variety, grown on naturally low-yielding soils that focus the flavors of the final wine. Simple fermentation methods allow the mix of soil types to shine, while the high altitude sites build a refreshing acidity.
Vineyard
Clay and limestone soils from around the town of Alba la Romaine form the backbone of this wine. 70ha of vineyards form this wine, planted on clay/limestone and volcanic soils at 400-500 meters above sea level.
Winemaking
A mix of cement and stainless-steel vessels are used to craft the Pinot Noir. The wine is bottled after 4-6 months.
Tasting Note
The Pinot Noir is supple and round with firm but polished tannins. Well-balanced with a kiss of oak, the palate displays an array of red currants and fresh raspberries.
