Ornus dell’Ornellaia is a late harvest Petit Manseng produced in extremely limited quantities, adding another dimension to the Estate. In select years conditions are perfect in the tiny Palmetta vineyard for this exclusive dessert wine. The name comes from Fraxinus Ornus, the Manna or Flowering Ash, a tree typical of the Mediterranean coast whose sap has been used since Biblical times as a sweetener, linking naturally to the sweetness of Ornus dell’Ornellaia.
