Tenute Bosco’s Etna Bianco is pleasantly persistent, with an appropriate balance of acidity and minerality. The wine is a careful selection of historical indigenous varieties from the vineyards of two contradas – Piano dei Daini and Santo Spirito.
Vineyard
Bush trained vines sourced from between the contradas of Piano dei Daini and Santo Spirito on the northern side of Etna. Average altitude between 600 – 700m, with sandy and volcanic soils.
Winemaking
Light press to avoid over-extraction. Temperature controlled fermentation between for at least 10 days. Stainless steel vats for 4 months, keeping the fine lees in suspension.
Tasting Note
A balanced bouquet of white peaches and honeysuckle compose the front of the palate, with zesty citrus following before a surprisingly long finish of soft herbs and wet stone.
