This wine grows from a vineyard of three terraces of Albarese soils at 500 meters or more above sea level at the Tenuta Perano in Gaiole.
Tasting Note
A standout wine for its richness and depth balanced by the elegance of high-elevation Sangiovese, this wine shows notes of wild berries and violets with a wonderful spice.
WINEMAKING
A gentle, anaerobic prsteel ess preserves the wine’s fresh aromatics. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless and a small portion of barriques, with some added time in bottle before release.

Vinous - July 1, 2025 "The 2021 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Rialzi exudes concentration, richness and power. Dark-toned fruit, new leather, chocolate, incense and espresso wrap around the palate. There's a bit more sweetness and richness than in the Riserva, and yet the character of this Gaiole site still comes through nicely."
