Tenuta Ammiraglia

Massovivo Vermentino 2024

Toscana IGT

Trade Tools

Massovivo Vermentino captures the coastal soul of Tenuta Ammiraglia. Named after the “living rocks” scattered through the Maremma hills, this wine is vibrant and mineral-driven, shaped by sea breezes and sun. Aromas of pineapple, mango, and citrus are layered with wild herbs, broom, and a salty lift. On the palate, it’s round yet refreshing, with a seamless balance between fruit and freshness. Fermented and aged in stainless steel on fine lees, Massovivo is a sleek, expressive Vermentino with unmistakable Mediterranean character.

WINEMAKING

After a gentle press and cold settle, this refined wine ferments and ages in stainless steel tanks.

VINTAGE

The 2024 Tuscan growing season was largely favorable, starting with a mild winter and spring, followed by a hot, dry summer. Heavy rains in May and June replenished water reserves, helping vines endure the summer heat. August rains arrived at the right time, balancing sugars and acidity for optimal ripening. The harvest was demanding but rewarding, with good yields and excellent grape quality. This vintage marks a recovery from the lighter 2023 vintage.

TASTING NOTE

A delicate floral profile of jasmine characterizes this wine’s nose, and its palate shows savory notes of thyme, bergamot and sage with a sea-breeze saltiness.

James Suckling - May 26, 2025 "A restrained, fairly neutral wine with white pepper, lemon leaf and sage aromas. Vibrant, almost electric on the palate, with a textured medium body, peach and leaf flavors and a tight finish."
