Lauren’s Vineyard is located in the esteemed Agrelo district, long-known as Mendoza’s top terroir for Cabernet Franc grapes.

AVERAGE AGE OF VINES: 12 YEARS
AERAGE ELEVATION: 3011 FEET

VINIFICATION

Hand-harvested from Lauren’s Vineyard in Agrelo, planted in soil of clay, loam and stones. The wine is aged 12 months in new French oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES

Deep red and bright in color. Expressive and elegant with notes of red and black fruit on the nose and subtle aromas of roasted bell pepper, dried herbs and cacao.

Try paired with pastas in tomato based sauces, grilled meat entrees or rich vegetables.

Dark plums, red meat, dried herbs, oyster shells and dried spices. Full-bodied with lovely fresh fruit that’s interlaced between structured tannins. Medium-long on the finish.

Full medium ruby. Very savory aromas of black fruits, licorice, violet and smoky crushed-stone minerality. Delivers superb texture and concentration for young vines, with its flavors of black fruits, minerals and licorice offering excellent palate coverage without weightiness; a step up on the 2016 bottling in stuffing. Finishes quite long, with ripe, fine-grained tannins. The broadest of these three vineyard-designated '17s, but classically dry and uncompromising in the early going. (from ten-year-old vines planted on limestone soil, which is unusual for Agrelo)
