Frog's Leap Winery
Sauvignon Blanc 2024
Rutherford
Frog’s Leap continues to define its signature style with Sauvignon Blanc—100% varietal, organically certified, dry-farmed, and estate-driven. Sourced primarily from historic Rutherford vineyards, this wine showcases remarkable balance, delivering bright acidity, layered citrus and stone fruit, and savory minerality. Fermented in stainless steel, neutral oak, and concrete egg, then aged 6 months sur lie, it offers purity, tension, and a long, elegant finish—A true expression of place.
Vineyard
The 2023 Frog’s Leap Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from dry-farmed, certified organic vineyards in Rutherford, planted in 1942 on deep gravelly loam soils. These valley floor sites sit at low elevation with gentle slopes, ideal for preserving acidity and expressing site-driven minerality.
Winemaking
The 2023 Frog’s Leap Sauvignon Blanc was harvested between August 25 and September 16 during a calm, extended growing season that allowed for optimal ripeness and balanced acidity. Fermentation took place in a mix of stainless steel, neutral oak, and 5% concrete egg to preserve freshness while adding texture and depth.
Vintage
The 2023 growing season was calm and extended, with harvest beginning later than usual, allowing the fruit to develop exceptional flavor and acidity. Marked by balance, structure, and depth, 2023 stands out as one of Napa Valley’s most promising recent vintages.
