Domaine d'Aussières

A d’Aussières Rouge 2025

AOC Languedoc

Trade Tools

Domaine d’Aussières A d’Aussières Rouge blends Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon with a mix of other varieties for a fresh, expressive Pays d’Oc red with Bordelais character. The cooler microclimate of the estate ensures vibrant fruit, while the Bordeaux grapes thrive in the deeper, sandy-silt soils of the lower-lying plots. A soft frame of tannins carries notes of blackcurrant, red cherry, fresh fig, and mild spice. Vinified with precision, it’s a polished and harmonious wine that reflects the diversity of the domaine’s holdings.

VINEYARD

The estate vineyards are nestled in the rugged hills just behind the Mediterranean coastline of Narbonne, in the South of France. A portion of the fruit comes from flatter, lower lying parts of the estate. The rest come from the coldest parts of the appellation. The deeper soils with underlying sandy silt provide the optimal growing conditions for Bordelaise grapes.

WINEMAKING

The maceration period varies from 12 to 15 days with gentle extraction. Fermentation at fairly low temperatures (75°F) in stainless steel vats. Aging is carried out in stainless steel vats to maintain the freshness and purity of the fruit.

VINTAGE

After a mild winter, spring rains allowed for good start to gestation, and a dry summer followed without any heat spikes. Harvest commenced September 23rd.

TASTING NOTE

Notes of blackcurrant, mild spices, hints of chocolate, red cherry, blackberry and fresh fig. The tannins are soft and harmonious.
