Tenuta Perano
Chianti Classico, Italy
The Frescobaldi family began producing wine in Tuscany in 1308, and for centuries has been synonymous with wine production in Italy’s most celebrated wine region. Despite an almost constant search it was not, however, until 2014 that the family acquired a Chianti Classico estate. The estate had to be magnificent, and when you visit Tenuta Perano, you understand immediately why the family finally moved forward. Perano has a long history in Chianti Classico and is situated in the original Chianti Classico zone designated by Duke Cosimo III de’ Medici in 1716. The estate was acquired by the Frescobaldi family in 2014.
Located in the village of Gaiole, the estate’s vineyards lie on steep slopes with optimal sun exposure, promoting perfect grape ripening. The wines from Tenuta Perano showcase vibrant acidity, deep red fruit flavors and a signature minerality, delivering elegance, structure, and exceptional aging potential that reflects true Chianti terroir.
