Pietramaggio
Region
Pietramaggio is Tommaso Inghirami’s Chianti Classico expression, from their own high altitude, low yielding vineyard at the top of Greve, overlooking the Appennine mountains. The family owns and farms 54 hectares of certified-organic vineyards with a focus on high altitude, cooler sites to preserve freshness in the wines. Pietramaggio is produced from the Grignano estate, which has been owned by the Inghirami family since the early 1970’s, and was once the personal property of Catherine de Medici in the 15th century. The Ingharami family is also one of the best in Italian textile-fashion. The Pietramaggio labels are a nod to their extensive antique textile collections, which are stored alongside decades of gracefully aging wine at this historic estate and cellar.
Wines

Chianti Classico
Pietramaggio Chianti Classico comes from a high-altitude vineyard in Greve near the 13th-century Castle of Montefioralle. At 1,500 feet, its clay-limestone soils nurture Sangiovese and other Tuscan grapes. Winemaker Tommaso Inghirami blends tradition and modernity in this juicy, spiced cherry- and plum-driven wine with creamy tannins. Fresh and vibrant, it's an easy-drinking pleasure true to its origins.

Chianti Classico Riserva
The Riserva is only made in the best vintages and is comprised 95% of Sangiovese, with a splash of Canaiolo and Colorino. It comes from the same high-elevation clay and limestone vineyard as the Chianti Classico, located at 1,500 feet above sea level, but is aged an additional six months in oak. It’s ruby red in color with notes of ripe red fruits, vanilla, and spices. This is a balanced and pleasant wine with a well-rounded but intense finish.

Seta Toscana
Pietramaggio Seta is a Toscana IGT red blend from certified organic vineyards in Pontassieve, located within Chianti Rufina, near the Sieve River. Chianti Rufina, considered the best of Chianti’s subregions, benefits from high altitudes and cooler temperatures. This blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot offers red berry, thyme, and clove aromas. Supple and youthful, it boasts great structure and fresh acidity.
