Jetsetting Fashionista spoke with Gary Farrell Winemaker Theresa Heredia about her start in the industry and most influential mentors, as well her winemaking style and grower relationships.
In terms of winemaking, “our stylistic philosophy is to make wines that exude the essence of place (aka terroir). They are intended to be food-friendly, with a nice acid backbone, not too high in alcohol and overall just really balanced in terms of tannin, acidity, alcohol, fruit concentration, etc.,” says Heredia.
Continuing, she explains, “we work with approximately 36 amazing vineyards from around Sonoma County and a couple beyond. Some are iconic vineyards, but all are truly special sites. This is why my top priority is to respect the fruit and try to capture the essence of each place.”
In addition to elaborating on her specific blending process, the in depth piece shares personal anecdotes and some of Heredia’s favorite places to visit in Sonoma. Read the full story HERE
