Food & Beverage Magazine reports that the legendary Gary Farrell Winery has partnered with VINTUS for it’s U.S. market distribution. The feature details that Gary Farrell became one of the most acclaimed California wine producers in 1982 with the initial release wines hailing from the yet to be established Russian River Valley AVA. Eventually, along with fellow seminal winemakers from the region, Gary Farrell helped to bring attention to the potential of the region. The piece also gives special claim to the winery’s winemaker, Theresa Heredia, who joined forces with Gary Farrell in 2012. Since then, Gary Farrell has risen to unprecedented levels of quality that has been recognized by the likes of Wine Enthusiast (Russian River Selection Chardonnay was the #1 Wine of the Year in 2017) and Wine & Spirits Magazine (Top 100 Winery of the Year in 2019). In total, the wines under Heredia have garnered over 500 reviews of 90+ scores in the last six years.
The article concludes with a quote from General Manager Nancy Bailey on the partnership with VINTUS, “We are truly grateful for the support of and work with all of our partners over the last decade. We have decided to make this change as we believe VINTUS is completely aligned with our long term vision of how to sell our Pinot Noir Russian River Selection, Hallberg Vineyard Pinot Noir, Chardonnay Russian River Selection and Olivet Lane Chardonnay through wholesale in the United States.”
