Xavier Milhade Wines

Château Boutisse

Purchased in 1996, the Milhade family have invested enormously in the vineyards and facilities at Boutisse and, above all, with their energy. Today Boutisse is no longer a surprise - dynamic young winemaker Marc Milhade has transformed this estate into an outstanding Saint-Emilion, with ripe, structured and engaging character.

Ferrer Bobet

Selecció Especial

Selecció Especial Vinyes Velles is 100% Carignane from hundred year old vines in some of the best vineyards in Priorat, in one of the coolest, steepest and highest elevations of the appellation, factors which contribute to optimal phenolic ripeness and help preserve flavors and acidity. A wine of truly profound fruit and minerality.

Petrolo

Bòggina C

Val d'Arno di Sopra

Boggina is bottled from the best barrels of Sangiovese produced each year from the Boggina hill, planted in the 1950’s by Luca’s grandfather. Bòggina is the oldest vineyard on the Petrolo estate, and the source of Petrolo’s most prized Sangiovese vines.

Château Tour d’Auron

Château Tour d'Auron is a small production estate that produces wines with remarkable structure and aging potential. The difference in site from its neighbors owned by Gerard Milhade and his family is striking, as this wine exhibits a much darker fruit and earthy character.

Champagne Bollinger

La Grande Année

Champagne, France

La Grande Année: The Great Year. This Champagne is the embodiment of everything that makes Bollinger the producer that stands apart in Champagne. La Grande Année, or LGA, preserves the traditions of the past and symbolizes the word "hand-crafted" so strongly that an overused word suddenly becomes the only appropriate definition.

Chateau Montelena

Napa Valley Chardonnay

Napa Valley, California

A true icon. The Napa Valley Chardonnay is the wine that put Chateau Montelena and Napa Valley at the forefront of the wine world in 1976, in what is now memorialized as “The Judgment of Paris.” To great disbelief, the Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Chardonnay was the top-ranking wine against four white Burgundies and five other California Chardonnays. And as they say, the rest is history.

El Porvenir

Amauta Absoluto Torrontes

This sustainably farmed, single vineyard estate wine is composed of 100% hand harvested Torrontes from the Calchaqui Valley, Salta. This fruit driven wine is bursting with white flowers and orange peel with notes of lemon zest and an underlying zip of salinity. This wine is far more balanced than most Torrontes with a solid backbone of acidity.

New Alchemy Distilling

Aether Vodka

Aether Vodka is distilled from locally sourced wine grapes. The team at New Alchemy worked extensively to develop an exclusive distillation and refinement process that allows this overproof vodka to be as smooth, if not smoother, than the best traditional vodkas. At 120 proof, Aether is ideal for cocktails or infusions, providing a clean, crisp foundation for any variety of flavors, without over diluting. Aether Vodka has notably stood its ground and even bested standard-proof vodkas in competition because of its smooth, polished flavor.

Trediberri

Trediberri Barolo Rocche Dell'Annunziata

La Morra

Working with just over three acres of vines in this famed vineyard, Rocche Dell'Annunziata is not just home for Trediberri, but also its heart. To hear winemaker Nicola Oberto speak passionately of this vineyard is to hear him discuss a lifelong love affair. He was literally born in front of the vineyard, with memories of kicking a soccer ball around the muddy vines at four years old. Like any wine of this stature, this Barolo will age for decades, but unlike many of its peers, it delivers immediate pleasure too.

Marietta Cellars

Armé Cabernet Sauvignon

North Coast, California

Named after Armé, the husband of Marietta and great-great uncle of Owner/Winemaker Scot Bilbro, this Cabernet Sauvignon conveys a taut freshness and aromatic purity. Stylistically balanced between modern California and Old World, this wine is dense with fresh, dark fruit and tempered with a savory, earthy character. The dry fly on the label is a reference to Chris Bilbro's long family history of fishing with his great uncle Armé along the waterways that now adjoin the three estate vineyards.

Quinta do Noval

Tawny 40 Year Old Port

Douro Valley, Portugal

Noval was the first port house to introduce blended tawnies with an indication of average age. Their eldest offering, the Noval Tawny 40 Year Old Port, is a remarkable representation of the quintessence of the Noval Tawny style: a profoundly concentrated and complex old wine, the memory of the house.

Telmo Rodríguez

Basa

Rueda, Spain

Basa is one of the pioneering wines to show the expression of a grape variety, the "Verdejo" that adapted to a continental climate, giving rise to a direct, fresh and expressive wine.  This refreshing blend of the native varieties Verdejo and Viura from Rueda has year after year been named one of Spain's and the word's value white wines.

Rotem and Mounir Saouma

Rotem and Mounir Saouma Amphorae Collection

Chateauneuf-du-Pape

Every year Mounir will select several crus to age in Amphorae, where they will remain untouched for around a year, with no input.  Then a gentle pressing and bottling.  These wines transmit the characteristics of their terroir in a pure, unvarnished manner.  Not normal wines, but then again nothing Mounir Saouma does is normal .

Lucien Le Moine

Criots-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru

Criots-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru

The soils in Criots are a combination of marl, clay and chalk. In fact, the word “Criots” means chalk in French. The south-east facing slope lies at an altitude of around 780 feet - slighly lower than neighboring Chevalier-Montrachet and Le Montrachet, so the slopes tend to have a higher proportion of clay. Mounir describes this wine as “a bridge between the body of Bâtard and the class of Montrachet.

Château de Nalys

Saintes Pierres de Nalys Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc

Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The second white wine to the Chateau de Nalys Grand Vin Blanc has a character all its own, with a strongly different varietal and plot composition, and like its red Saintes Pierres counterpart, a fermentation, and aging geared towards emphasizing freshness. The hallmark seamlessness of Guigal's white wines is especially evident in this wine, which is unlike any Chateauneuf white we have experienced in its grace and lift.

Champagne Ayala

Brut Majeur

Champagne, France

Brut Majeur is the epitome of a non-vintage brut from a great, historic House and is the finest ambassador for the House’s freshness and elegance. A blend of the finest Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, coupled with extended ageing in Ayala's cellars and a low dosage make this wine suitable for any occasion.

Champagne Bollinger

La Grande Année Rosé

Champagne, France

Lily Bollinger agreed to a Bollinger rosé under one condition, it had to be extraordinary, and that is how La Grande Année Rosé was born. A blend like no other, the wine is as an extension to the House's prestige cuvée, La Grande Année, as is the subtle marriage between this great vintage Champagne and the addition of red wine from a unique plot, the legendary Côte aux Enfants.

Château Damase

Chateau Damase is a completely charming wine, planted primarily to Merlot with some of "Bordeaux's Lost Grape" - Carmenere. The vibrant Merlot along with the lovely spicy touches make Damase somewhat of the classic fresh, Bordeaux bistro red.

Xavier Milhade Wines

Château Tour Bayard

Château Tour Bayard is a recent addition to the Milhade portfolio, coming into the family through marriage. This 25 acre property has been run by the Richard family since 1956, and is now regarded as one of the top estates in the appellation.

Domaine des Baumard

Quarts de Chaume

Quarts de Chaume

The dramatically beautiful Quarts de Chaume appellation produces some of the great sweet wines of the world, Baumard's chiefly among them. Truly the "Grand Cru" site of the Loire Valley.
