Wine Spectator included Gary Farrell Winery in its recent publication of the 50 Top Sonoma Producers. The sprawling region has many wineries that bottle stellar versions of multiple varietals. In order to compile their list of the region’s 50 standout producers, Wine Spectator examined the recent releases that represent track records for excellence.
The feature highlighted the 2016 Gary Farrell Winery Hallberg Vineyard Pinot Noir (92 Points), which is reviewed as “Finely textured, with an elegant mix of dried cherry, red currant and plum flavors, knit together by fresh acidity. Well-structured, featuring a long finish that echoes with savory spice and cedar accents.”
