Pinot Grigio Ramato Rosé 2025

Friuli DOC

Trade Tools

Attems Pinot Grigio Ramato Rosé honors the traditional Venetian style of Pinot Grigio, with its signature coppery hue from 10 hours of skin contact. Hand-harvested from low-yield vines in marl and sandstone soils cooled by Bora winds, it shows aromas of tomato leaf, kiwi, and verbena. Gentle pressing and lees aging create a medium-bodied wine with bright acidity, offering flavors of white grapefruit, bread crust, mint, and lime. Energetic, savory, and true to its roots, it captures the historic spirit of Friuli.

VINEYARD

Characteristic of Friuli are its fertile soils and the ideal microclimate brought about by the particular positioning of these lands set as they are between the sea and the vegetation-rich mountains. The harsh cold of the mountainous areas is mitigated by the gentle sea breezes, which bring with them the brightness of the water refraction of the Adriatic, supporting the ripening of healthy, turgid grapes rich in aromatic substances. This balance of such powerful natural elements ensures the ideal conditions for varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.

WINEMAKING

Following the destemming, the peels and must are left in contact for about 10 hours at 8°C. Subsequently, the rosé juice obtained from the soft pressing of the grapes is left to rest for 24-48 hours. Finally, on clear must, a low temperature (15- 17°C) alcoholic fermentation is allowed to take place in steel vats for 15 days. The vinification is carried out in steel containers. After fermentation, the wine rests for 4 months on the noble lees, which are constantly placed in suspension.

VINTAGE

The 2025 vintage in Friuli-Venezia Giulia delivered a promising growing season from the outset. A wet winter replenished soil moisture reserves, and a mild, balanced spring gave the vines a strong foundation. Summer brought heat, though noticeably less extreme than the punishing conditions of 2024, with day-to-night temperature swings helping preserve natural acidity and aromatic freshness in the grapes. Friuli posted a yield increase of around 10% compared to 2024, contributing to a broadly abundant Italian harvest.

TASTING NOTE

Bright color, with a mango-tinged rim. Delicately floral on the nose, with notes of broom and Alpine rose. When swirled in the glass, a distinctive aroma of green apple comes to the fore, carrying through into each sip. The body is light yet precise

Sauvignon Blanc

Venezia Giulia IGT

Attems Sauvignon Blanc, like others from the region, remains a hidden treasure. The wines can be compared in fruit ripeness to Sancerre, with a more intense bouquet as well as a lusher weight and texture. Attems shows how the value of quality-driven, artisanal producers can be extraordinary.

Pinot Grigio

Friuli DOC

The Attems Pinot Grigio demonstrates all of the amazing qualities of the Collio region in Friuli Venezia-Giulia: it has superb weight and texture, and is mineral-edged, savory, tangy, and lively.

Cicinis

The Cicinis Sauvignon Blanc is an utterly distinctive expression of Sauvignon Blanc. From a single vineyard in the Collio area, the tremendous density and aromatics are joined by a deep and complex texture due to the aging in oak barrels and cement eggs. Truly the Attems flagship.
