Food & Wine Executive Wine Editor Ray Isle shared his favorite things to drink this summer in the publication’s August issue, including Bonanto Aperitivo. He explains, “Made by a sommelier and two mixologists in Barcelona, this new Spanish aperitivo makes a killer spritz.” His go-to combo has been “two parts Bonanto, one part Cava, and a splash of seltzer.” He further explains that each bottling is comprised of more than 30 botanicals, such as thyme, bay leaf, citrus and Spanish cherry.

It's disrupting the aperitif category with its innovative and unique style. It has a strong personality but with well-balanced and delicate aromas and flavors. It combines fresh Mediterranean aromas with a spicy and fruity background, rounded with a citrusy and subtle bitter finish. It's extraordinarily versatile allowing it to be enjoyed simply on the rocks with an orange twist, with a splash of sparkling wine, soda or tonic, or as the basis for the most cutting-edge cocktails.
