E. Guigal

Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2015

Cotes du Rhone

Given that this particular wine can be the introduction to the entire Rhône Valley for a drinker, as well as the position they occupy in the Rhône, it is not enough for the Guigals to make a good Côtes du Rhône. They are relentlessly driven to produce a distinctive and outstanding wine that drives interest in exploring the entirety of the Rhône.

Wine & Spirits "Given that the Guigals have close relationships with some 80 farmers up and down the Rhône Valley, perhaps it’s not surprising that they make a good Côtes du Rhône red.…

Jeb Dunnuck "Leading off the reds, the 2015 Côtes du Rhône is mostly Syrah yet has a big dose of 40% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre. It’s another terrific vintage from this wine…

Wine Advocate “As usual, the 2015 Cotes du Rhone features a majority of Syrah, largely sourced from the western side of the Rhône. Spicy, peppery, hickory aromas lead off, adding berries up…

Quinta do Noval

Noval BLACK Port NV

Douro Valley, Portugal

The style of Noval BLACK is entirely about emphasizing the quality of this fruit, through use of estate fruit, gentle handling (including foot treading), and vinification aiming for transparency.  You could say it is the most wine-like of ruby reserve ports, and that is the secret to its flexibility, in cocktails, chilled, and even on ice.

Wine Advocate "The NV Black Ruby Reserve Porto is mostly Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinto Cão aged in an equal mixture of oak and stainless steel. It comes in with 100…

Jeb Dunnuck "The NV Black cuvée comes half from estate vineyards (the rest is sourced from the Cima Corgo region in the Douro Valley) and is aged two years in larger oak…

Wine & Spirits Magazine “Black replaces LB, Noval’s former entry in this range, and uses top-quality fruit to create a soft, accommodating texture. The aromas are purple-black while the flavors are pure black cherry.…

Tawny 20 Year Old Port NV

Douro Valley, Portugal

Noval 20 year old Tawny is a blend of old Ports from different vintages that have matured in oak casks, with an average age of 20 years. Irresistible freshness with all the complexity of age. Harmonious and balanced, fine, elegant and long, with all the aromatic complexity typical of Noval Tawny Ports.

Decanter "Set up in 1715, Noval is the only historic Port wine shipper to bear the name of its quinta. Its declaration of 1931 as a vintage year – arguably the…

Wine Spectator "This is a shade darker and richer than its peers, with warm toffee, hazelnut cream, roasted vanilla, cinnamon and walnut husk leading the way, backed by halva, pistachio oil and…

Pinot Noir Reserve 2015

Willamette Valley

The Pinot Noir Reserve comes primarily from estate grown fruit on Laurelwood soil in the Chehalem Mountains, including from some of Oregon’s oldest vines. It is hand crafted on a boutique scale, with tremendous attention to detail. An intense wine, it has an explosive nose of sassafras, coffee, sweet plum and spice box; a full and seamless palate with baker's chocolate, blueberry, lavender and tea; and a long and balanced finish. I

Vinous Media "Lurid ruby-red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe blackberry, cherry and candied flowers, and exotic incense and potpourri nuances add complexity. Sweet and broad on the palate, offering densely packed…

Wine Advocate (93+) "The 2015 Pinot Noir Reserve is pale to medium ruby-purple in color with a lovely nose of lilac perfume over fresh, pure crushed blueberry and blackberry fruit with layers of…

Château La Fleur-Pétrus

Château La Fleur-Pétrus 2014

Pomerol

From a wine of utter charm, La Fleur-Petrus has through the developments of the last 20 years become a wine of profound depth and complexity, all the while retaining its irresistible, seductive edge. You could even call it the archetype of  Pomerol.

James Suckling “A wine evincing true enlightenment. It’s floral on the nose and also shows blackberries, stones, minerals and cedar. Full-bodied, yet its so fine-grained and tight. So, so long. It builds…

Champagne Bollinger

R.D. 2002

Champagne, France

Bold & Brilliant. R.D. stands for Recently Disgorged. This is the result of Madame Bollinger’s great vision: an expert wine with aromas enhanced by its exceptionally long maturation. Since 1952, a portion of the La Grande Année vintages have been kept in the cellars and disgorged at a later date, after much longer time (about 8-20 years) on the lees. It is no wonder that it is James Bond’s favorite Champagne.

There are no revidews for this wine, yet.

Champagne Bollinger

La Grande Année 2005

Champagne, France

Bollinger's prestige cuvée is the vintage-dated La Grande Année, made of roughly two-thirds Pinot Noir and one-third Chardonnay. It is produced only when the harvest reaches a perfect balance. This wine ferments entirely in oak barrels, and undergoes its second fermentation under cork instead of crown capsule. It’s filled with aromas of honey, gingerbread and cinnamon, and offers a core of pastry and candied orange flavors on the palate.

Wine Spectator “A powerful, structured and graceful 2005, showing deft integration of the rich, chalky underpinning, firm acidity and expansive flavors of crushed black currant, spring blossom, toasted almond, crystallized honey and…

Mini Ediciones Petit Verdot 2012

Agrelo, Mendoza, Argentina

As the name suggests, Mini Ediciones are highly limited parcels of wine. From lesser known varieties, these wines are wholly expressive of the Remolinos Vineyard and represent an opportunity to taste a variety rarely seen in a pure form. In 2006, in recognition of its unique potential from the coarse, low vigour soils of our Remolinos Vineyard, the winery first selected a few exceptional barrels of wine to make a well-deserved Decero Mini Ediciones Petit Verdot.

James Suckling “Pure petit verdot is hard to come by and this is an excellent example with hints of dried fruits and spice. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a fresh…

MAX Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Aconcagua Costa

It's becoming common knowledge, Errazuriz is one of the most interesting quality areas to grow Sauvignon Blanc, with wines that sit between the fruit of New Zealand and the minerality of the Loire Valley. MAX Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from the Manzanar Vineyard in Chile's newest appellation, Aconcagua Costa. Planted by Errazuriz in 2005 and just 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the combination of cool climate and diverse, quality soils creates wines with tremendous freshness and bracing minerality.

James Suckling “This is a fantastic sauvignon from Chile. Lots of grass, lemon, grapefruit and Thai basil. Full body round and layered at the finish. Splendid energy to this. Screw cap. Serious.”

Château Minuty

281 Rosé 2019

Côtes de Provence

281 refers to the Pantone number for this royal blue color that elegantly cascades in a glaze down the side of the bottle.  It evokes the sky and the sea of Minuty's French Riviera home, in particular the deep blue that appears everywhere after the strong afternoon wind.  100% estate from a single old plot of Grenache whose clone is exclusive to Château Minuty, it is the ultimate reflection of their special seaside vineyard and Provence.

Wine Enthusiast "In an elegant bottle, this is an equally stylish wine. Almost pure Grenache gives a wine packed with red-fruit flavors balanced by young, enthusiastic acidity. The fruitiness is delicious, fresh…
