Wine Spectator Gets Serious About Tacos & Wine

In a compilation of 18 Taco and Wine pairings, made by Sommeliers, Attems and Bollinger get a special nod for their pairing super powers. Sommelier Simon Roberts says “Tacos, like wine, go in a lot of different flavor profile directions, so if we’re talking fish tacos, I love a crisp Pinot Grigio from Friuli, Italy called Attems. It has enough fruit and acid to both cut through and complement the spice.

Sommelier Danielle Kuzinich says, “For carnitas and fried tacos, Bollinger is always a perfect pairing. The rich, full-bodied character of Bollinger complements the richness of the pork, and the bubbles help cut through the fat. And let’s be real, Champagne should always be the first choice for anything fried! When in doubt, always go with Bollinger!
