In 2017, the Guigal family acquired the Château de Nalys and made a dream of three generations to be owners in Châteauneuf-du-Pape come true. The first years were devoted to rejuvenating and enhancing the vineyards. Now, it is time to move forward and build a production tool matching with the exceptional quality level of Nalys’ terroirs.
In October 2022, the Rhône Valley Family took up a new challenge in collaboration with BAM – Because Architecture Matters – organizing an international architectural competition. The objective: to provide a high-performance workspace to Nalys’ Team while committing to a strict environment friendly approach.
There were over 160 applicants received, which were narrowed down to 5 final candidates before the final decision.
The competition has been won by @amelia_tavella and her talented team. This superb project is based on the construction of an emblematic and timeless building integrating the Nalys landscape.
