Tilth Wines
Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2019
Sonoma Coast
Working with an array of vineyards from the foggy climes of the Sonoma Coast, Tilth’s Pinot Noir marries purity, elegance, and silky texture for a pitch perfect example of the variety.
Vineyard
Grapes are sourced largely from the Tina Marie Vineyard, situated on southwest facing slopes. The remaining wine is sourced from the Sonoma Stage Vineyard and Riddle Vineyard.
Winemaking
Every vineyard was fermented separately with native yeasts in small open-top fermenters. About 30% whole clusters were used across the board. After two-three weeks of one-two punchdowns a day we drained the ferments to 20% new French oak and aged the wine for ten months before bottling.
Tasting Notes
“Bing cherry, kirsch, and rose petals fill the nose. The palate is graceful with fresh red fruits and a subtle spice that comes from the whole clusters.” – Jason Driscoll, Winemaker
Suggested Food Pairing
An incredibly versatile Pinot Noir, this pairs equally well with pork roasts, rotisserie chicken, grilled salmon, and cheeses.
