“This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Tannat is rich yet well balanced. Its jammy berry aromas are creamy but also a touch reedy. On the
palate, dark black fruit flavors show their herbal, peppery side. It finishes plush.”

“Decero bases all its wines on fruit from Remolinos, a vineyard in the highest part of Agrelo. This bottling is based on Malbec (43 percent), which sets out a lovely layer of violet-scented cherry fruit, while cabernet sauvignon, tannat and petit verdot provide firmness and flavor detail. A complex wine to pour with rosemary-braised lamb.”
“A full-bodied wine with ultra-fine tannin and a caressing finish. Lots of fruit yet reserved, balanced and stylish. Well-made cabernet sauvignon . Drink
or hold.”
“An elegant style, with a core of vibrant cherry, plum and currant flavors that are supported by fresh acidity. This is supple midpalate, with a finish that lingers with dried ginger and white pepper details. Drink now through 2022.”
“The top of the range, the 2013 Decero Amano Remolinos Vineyard is superb in a fresh vintage like 2013. This time the blend was 65% Malbec, 28% Cabernet
Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Tannat. The élevage might sound a bit brutal, with 20-22 months in brand new oak barrels, but sometimes longer is better once you have used new barrels and although it’s slightly oaky and smoky, all the violets and cherries are also there, and I’m sure it’ will develop into a nice bottle of Agrelo. The palate reveals sophisticated tannins and elegant balance, with good freshness and a remarkable finish. Patience should be rewarded.”
“Pure petit verdot is hard to come by and this is an excellent example with hints of dried fruits and spice. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.”
“Beautiful aromas of blueberries and currants with a hint of stone and concrete. Medium to full body, firm and lightly chew tannins with a dusty texture. Hints of chocolate and hazelnut nut. A cab that gives you pleasure and interest.”
“This is very classy and beautiful with blackberry and dried tobacco. Medium to full body, very fine and pretty. Licorice and tar. Real carmenere here.”
“The 2016 Pinot Noir MAX is a solid value and over-delivers with its cherry, strawberry and floral aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, with fine tannin and no hard edges, it’s well worth its going rate and is ideal for drinking over the coming couple of years.”
“A vibrant white with flowers, dried lemon and lime. Medium body, intense fruit and a long, flavor finish. Energetic white. A blend of grapes from Aconcagua as well as Casablanca and Aconcagua Costa.”
