A recent Robb Report feature highlights Far Mountain and winemaker Rodrigo Soto as key forces behind Moon Mountain’s rise, showcasing his vision of crafting site-driven wines that prioritize elegance, restraint, and a true sense of place. Drawing on his global experience and deep commitment to organic farming, Soto is focused on letting the rugged, volcanic terroir speak. The resulting wines capture both the power and precision of this high-elevation AVA.

To say nothing of their structured, mineral-driven Cabernet Sauvignons, which offer dark fruit buoyed by acidity and polish. With tiny production and a philosophy rooted in transparency and balance, we’re pleased to see Far Mountain earning recognition as one of the most compelling voices in Sonoma.
