In the Forbes feature “Why Roseblood Is Carla Bruni’s Bid For the Future of French Wine,” writer Lela London spotlights Roseblood d’Estoublon Rosé and the transformation of Château d’Estoublon into a modern luxury estate under the guidance of co-owner Carla Bruni. Since joining the project in 2020, Bruni has helped position Roseblood as a refined and cellar-worthy rosé that reflects the wild beauty of Provence’s Alpilles. “Unlike most rosés that evoke the French Riviera,” Bruni says, “we are rooted in the authentic, raw beauty of the Alpilles.”
Crafted by Winemaker Victor Joyeux, the wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Rolle grown on high-altitude slopes in the Coteaux Varois. Joyeux vinifies it with precision and restraint, resulting in a rosé that opens with wild strawberry and peach skin, moves into citrus and bright minerality, and finishes with salted almond and chalk. “What guides me,” he explains, “is achieving perfect balance in the wine.”
Backed by a strategic hospitality reboot and global distribution, Roseblood has expanded into 20+ countries and is now featured in top-tier venues like Le Meurice and The Connaught. “We go beyond the wine itself,” Bruni says. “We offer an experience that sells a dream.”
