The Wine Independent featured Ornellaia 2019 in its new take on a holiday gift guide, called “TWI’s Top 25 QPR Collector Wines of 2022”. For a refreshing spin on the traditional “Top 100” or “Gift Guide”, wine write Lisa Perotti Brown writes that we all have unique taste when it comes to wine, but everyone appreciates a bargain or good value. “Quality/price ratio (QPR) is a way of calculating value for money. There’s no universally accepted way of doing this, but I developed a formula for determining fine wine value some years ago. Although it is not an exact science, the results are usually an accurate indicator of whether I’m getting a bargain or being ripped off.”
Ornellaia 2019 received a rating of 100, making its QPR score a 8.41/10. This means that it clocks in as the #5 Value on their list of Top 25.
