The Written Palette participated in a Zoom tasting with Gary Farrell Winery Winemaker Theresa Heredia, where writer Cori Simon learned all about the winery’s history and diverse range of Pinot Noirs.
She delves into the characteristics of the Russian River Valley appellation along with Heredia’s winemaking style to start. In addition to tasting seven single-vineyard Pinot Noirs, including the Hallberg Vineyard expression, she tasted the winery’s flagship Russian River Valley Selection Pinot Noir. “The focus of the single-vineyards showcases Theresa’s goals of achieving bright, vibrant aromas, intense yet supple flavors, and the winery’s signature balance and purity of varietal expression.”
