“The sixth vintage of this wine is now made from 35-year-old vines. The 2017 Small Batch Series Angela Shiraz comes from the southern portion of McLaren Vale. Aged in 30% new oak, some cedar and vanilla notes accent red fruit flavors in this medium to full-bodied wine. Some savory-earthy notes and gentle tannins appear on the finish. Give it a year to better integrate the oak, then drink it over the next decade.”
